CLASSES:

TAP

READY SET DANCE schools are very strong tap schools.  We know that the secret to learning tap is to start early.  It’s just like learning a language.   Our songs like the ‘Gumboot Splash’ and the ‘Puddly Duck Tap Warm Up’ are fun exercises that teach us how to use our heels, toes and to learn how to shuffle.

HIP HOP

There is no denying that preschoolers these days are cool.   They love to bust out hip-hop moves.    We have developed our very own hip hop combinations like ‘The Pancake Flip’ to teach our students how to get their own groove happening.   Our mascot ‘Freeze’ has some very cool songs as well, songs that boys in particular really enjoy.

MUSIC

Our content has a strong emphasis on counting music, understanding tempo and exploring rhythm.   We love to use musical instruments and parachutes to have fun to learn music as a team.

SINGING

Each lesson involves singing time on the mat.   Our little divas and rock stars just love to take their turn on their microphone and sing with their puppets. It’s very rewarding to see some of our shy students gradually gain confidence and sing individually on the microphone and introduce themselves to the class.

Our READY SET DANCE class has two levels.   Classes can be split into age groups (2-3 years and 4-5 years) or it can be combined with the teacher selecting exercises to suit the different needs of the students.

The class is specifically designed to appeal to both girls and boys.

Balance bean bags, sing on the microphone, walk like a dinosaur, catch frozen snowflakes, learn to skip, show us your hip hop moves, hold your yoga pose and join in the puppet show!

READY SET DANCE is designed to appeal to girls and boys. Just take a look at our mascots, Twirl and Freeze!  Our class captures the attention of all pre-schoolers, from girls who love to twirl on their toes and boys who like to bust some moves.

This class is a one-hour combo class that includes jazz, tap, hip-hop, singing, music and a whole lot of fun.  This class is not only an introduction to dance but a place to grow, learn and make friends.    READY SET DANCE is the perfect way to start developing the co-ordination skills that are the basics of dance classes.

JAZZ

Jazz is the most popular style of dance at most dance studios as it uses current music that kids enjoy.    Our jazz component uses age-appropriate versions of songs like ‘Shake it off’ and ‘Roar’ to start learning basic steps and combinations.
